For the annual Streamborn Showcase 2026, which we co-organise, we set up the video production and ran it with volunteers. The show was live streamed on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon to multiple channels and platforms, reaching over 2500 unique viewers organically.
The event
Streamborn organises events for the Twitch music community. The annual Showcase is the highlight, with featured artists playing a full set and an open mic where talented artists from the community can share their music.
This edition took place at Neushoorn Café in Leeuwarden and was free to attend. Friday featured Luna Keller, LizKayTV and Clea Llewellyn. Saturday featured Crrissa the Cyberbard and Hammeta, with plenty of open mic rounds.
Live production & stream
For this production we used four of our own cameras, supplemented with a Sony PXW-Z90 handheld camera from Bear Cinema Rental with a wireless transmitter. The handheld camera enabled extra interactive shots during the live performances.
Our own cameras were spread across the venue, including one on a motorised slider for subtle movement. This let us capture all artists and the audience from different angles. The audio mix came from the room.
Post-production
The recordings were made available free of charge to Streamborn and the performing artists.
Volunteers
The video production was operated by a team of five volunteers across both days. After a short training session they took over the cameras and live mix.
